Dillon joined the Hamon Arts Library at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in August 2016 as the Digital Repository Librarian, a role that encompasses the dissemination and development of topics and initiatives surrounding digital scholarship and scholarly communication. Prior to joining SMU Dillon was the Head of the Center for Digital Scholarship at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) in Nacogdoches, Texas. Much of the work that he performed with Marsh at SFA has carried over into his new role at SMU. He received a BA in Classics from San Francisco State University and an MLIS from San Jose State University.
